Inspired by: Frida Kahlo. How could I possibly make a blog about women without highlighing Lady Kahlo? She was such an amazing artist and she had a pretty amazing life. She was a Mexican paintor whose work is celebrated by Mexico for it's emblematic and symbolic form of indigenous tradition. Also, her work is praised by feminists for Kahlo's depictions of the female form.
Due to lifelong illnesses, Kahlo was alone most of the time, which is why she did so many self portraits. Her artworks usually have an indication of suffering because she was inspired by her hostile marriage, her miscarriages, and her dozens of operations.
